2023 Summer Camps

Take a step back in time to explore art and architecture in the Medieval period. Campers will build castles, make dragons, create their own coat of arms and design stained glass windows. Crowns will be adorned as we create with acrylics, water color, paper mache, and much more.

Dates: May 8-11 (M-TH)
Time: 9:15am – 1:00pm

We will explore archaeology under the sea (sunken ships, sunken treasures), under mountains and in caves where we will explore petroglyphs.  We’ll look at digging up history on the battlefield, take a look at Bible archaeology by studying a little about the walls of Jericho, Petra, and Egypt, and wind up the week with dinosaurs and dragons (paleontology).  The week will end with a “Dino-dig” and you will discover how difficult it is to piece together an animal with lots of broken bones and fragments.

Enliven your early elementary students with a musical adventure! Our week-long camp incorporates instruments, songs, listening lessons, drama, puppets and art into your child’s favorite stories and poems. Music creates remarkable neural links that aid learning in all academic areas– lengthening and localizing attention, memory, and enlarging language.

Put on your cowboy boots and join us in this sunny little western town for a week of wild western art. Saddle up and explore all kinds of wild west wonders as we create with paper mache, acrylics, watercolor and pastels. Campers will learn to draw horses, tackle a friendly cactus, and experiment with art in the sun.

Sewing is such a practical and creative life skill!  This beginner sewing class will help you get familiar with a sewing machine and learn the basics of sewing. Students will work on a small hand sewing project throughout the week, although most class time will focus on learning or improving machine sewing skills. 

You can bring your own sewing machine or share one if you don’t have one. If you would like your machine cleaned and oiled so it is set up and ready for camp, you will need to schedule a drop-off time the week prior to camp. Cost is $20. If parts are missing or extensive labor is required, there will be additional charges.

Projects Include: Gift card wallets, tote bags, owl plushies and more

We will cut our own limited edition color prints. Linoleum is a durable medium that will open the door to both greeting cards and serious art. Using the same thinking as watercolor and Batik, we will be carving our way from light to dark color.

ALL-NEW Sewing class for 2023! Learn how to upcycle old jeans and sheets into useful pillows and room decor! This class is suitable for new sewists or those with some experience. We will review the parts of a sewing machine and practice the basics of seam allowance and topstitching. New skills will focus on changing out sewing machines needles for different fabrics, and using bias tape for a pennant banner. Come stitch something beautiful with us!
