MUSIC CAMP – THE HORSE AND HIS BOY  (3rd-6th)

We’ll have rhythm activities as we follow Bree and Hwin’s journey across the desert, and explore music written for such occasions: “The Wild Rider”, “The Chase” to name a few.  As we approach the city of Tashbaan, we’ll listen to “The Great Gate of Kiev.”  Somewhere along our travels, we will compose a song, and accompany our singing with various instruments.  As Shasta waits at the tombs for the others to arrive, he probably looked up at the night sky.  We’ll add appropriate ‘soundtracks’ for various sections of the story.  Music has been written for every occasion:  battle music, celebration music, even music about a donkey from “Carnival of the Animals”.  There will be lots of hands on with instruments, singing, creating, listening, puppet plays, art and more.

Dates: May 30-June 3
Time: 9:15am – 12:15pm
Cost:  $110 (includes all supplies)
